Nikolay Bogdanov was born in Ukraine in 1984. He attended the State Special Music School in Kharkov, where he has distinguished himself by his particular musical skills. After his achievement at the International Piano Competition in Pinerolo, he was invited by the direction of the G.F. Ghedini State Conservatory in Cuneo (Italy) to deepen his musical training. In 2002 he graduated in Piano, with full marks, Summa cum Laude and the special mention under Maurizio Barboro's guidance. In the two years 2005-2006 he frequented a Postgraduate Course at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg (Germany) by Prof. Vital Berzon. In 2007 he has obtained the Middle (Bachelor) in Composition in Cuneo, in the class of Paolo Minetti. He took part in several international and national piano competitions, wining more than 20 first absolute Prizes. As representative of the Conservatory of Cuneo he has been selected to the Contests of the Humanitarian Society of Milan and the CIDIM in Rome, carrying of special mentions. In 1999 and in 2002, he won the auditions that have allowed him to perform, as soloist with the "Ghedini" Symphonic Orchestra, at the Toselli Theater of Cuneo, the 1st Beethoven and Chopin’s Concerto, conducted by Prof. Arigoni and Karl Martin.
He performed with several orchestras Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart and Chopin concertos: Kharkiv Youth Orchestra, Kharkiv Philharmonic, Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), the Youth Symphonic Orchestra of the Piedmont, “Master di Talenti” Orchestra of the CRT Foundation, The Orchestra Classica di Alessandria, Ochestra delle alpi Marittime, Orchstra Sinfonica G.F. Ghedini (Italy), Mannheimer Kammerorchester (Germany), He gave solo recitals, concerts as a soloist with Orchestra and chamber music concerts for several musical associations and organizations around Italy, France and Ukraine. In 2004 held a recital and a Masterclass at the Italian Institute of Culture of Tripoli (Libya), in 2008 solo recital at the Enescu Palace in Bucharest (Romania). He attended summer specialization courses under the Maurice Barboro’s guidance and Master classes held by Lya de Barberiis, Lazar Berman, Paul Badura-Skoda, Walter Krafft, Maurizio Zanini and with the Altenberg Trio (Vienna) members. Actually he is teacher of piano at the Baravalle Municipal Institute of Music in Fossano. He has been selected as holder of the scholarship of the CRT Foundation in Turin as a participant of the "Master of the Talents".
In December 2009 graduated with first class honours in Postgraduate Piano Course (Master) at A. Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria (Italy) held by Prof. Maurizio Barboro.
